Jillian Harris (one of my favorite bachelorettes) is all about giving back this holiday season. This spunky, 5’2″, care-free Canadian charmed her way onto my list of favorites with her accent, confidence and positive attitude. Plus, her fashion sense is magnetic. She always makes her way onto Possessionista (one of my guilty pleasure blogs).
Jillian was second runner-up for Jason Mesnick’s season of The Bachelor (Season 13). She won the hearts of people across America and became known for her hot dog theory for dating.
Basically, she judges a potential suitor by their condiment preference. See below:
Sauerkraut: Bad boys Onion: Won’t make it down the aisle Ketchup: All-American guys who don’t take risks Mustard: Marriage materialUnfortunately, Jillian’s hot dog theory didn’t lead her down the path to love. Her love story was derailed by Wes, a charming country singer (and most definitely a sauerkraut man) who had a girlfriend back home the whole time. (Random side note: Judging by various Twitter conversations it sounds like Jillian and Wes remain good friends. Fancy that.) After Jillian finally let Wes go, she thought she had found her mustard man in Ed Swidersky, but that didn’t last long as rumors swirled that Ed had other romantic interests.
But all is not lost. It appears Jillian has found love in her work. Currently she stars on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where she does interior design. She also blogs about fashion, food and the latest in her life. I’m absolutely head over heals for her website.
Okay, enough back story, back to the main reason for this post: Giving away coats. No it’s not a giveaway of one of her cute outfits unfortunately. But it is a wonderful way to get in the holiday spirit and give back. Jillian is supporting the Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive put on by Burlington Coat Factory. The Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive collects gently worn jackets and then distributes them to those in need during the holiday season. Jillian blogged about donating the green coat she’s wearing in this pic and also asked for pics of people in the coats they donated so she can feature it on her blog. Will you be giving back this holiday season, BFs? Let me know if you decide to post to her blog. I’d love to see those coats. Until next time.
