Taxi! We’re Engaged! Congratulations to the Happy Couple, Zac C. and Tayshia! Headed to NYC! Clarky and the Queen! The Most Adorable Proposal at La Quinta Inn and Resort.

Congrats to Zac C. and Tayshia! Clarky and the Queen!

In the most adorable proposal this side of The Bachelorette, Tayshia and Zac C. professed their love to each other in the most genuine, adorable proposal. And they rode walked off into the sunset in their cardboard taxi with the sign “Just Engaged” attached to the back with cans stringing along. IT WAS ADORABLE! And all of Bachelor Nations’ hearts burst.

Who got kicked off: Tayshia sent Ben home and Ivan. Zac C. was the only man left for the proposals and it was brilliant.

Honestly, the rest of this recap matters not, because I’ve already moved on to planning Tayshia and Zac’s New York adventures and following up on every. single. interview they’ve had post-show as there is no After the Final Rose. Never fear, I will bring you all of my After the Final Rose knowledge from these interviews in a future post coming oh so soon.

But if we must…

THE FINALE TWIST!

Ben came back and told Tayshia he loved her and sent Tayshia’s head in a spin. Tayshia kissed him and had him come to the rose ceremony. At the rose ceremony, Tayshia sent Ivan home before handing out the roses. She said there were a lot of things they found out on the Fantasy Suite Dates that just didn’t align for their futures together. The one they talked about was religion, which is important to Tayshia and part of her life.

Meet the Family

  1. Tayshia’s family is ADORABLE! And 2. now we know why Tayshia is also just so adorable. Tayshia’s mom, dad and two brothers met Ben and Zac C.

Tayshia’s Dad to Tayshia: “What have you been doing?”

Tayshia: “I’ve been living my best life.” Atta, girl.

Ben was first up to meet with the family. They rode scooters and got to know each other. Ben went to West Point and her fam loved him, even though they knew he had been sent home previously and came back.

Zac C. was up next, and the family could tell the chemistry was on point. They also loved Zac C.

Final Dates with Ben and Zac C.:

Tayshia and Zac C. went on a dancin’ date. They learned their first dance dance. And Tayshia was up in her head, because her dad had knocked on her door earlier. Tayshia is getting so many surprise knocks this season – ahem Bennett and Ben. Tayshia’s dad just wanted to make sure she was alright and not making any mistakes because he didn’t want to see her hurt again. So sweet. It was alright. Zac C. got Tayshia out of her head and into the dance and checked in on her. He assured her that he was there for her. They make such a cute couple. Zac C. also told the producers that he feels like Tayshia really sees him. I think that was apparent in her vows. Spoiler. 🙂

Tayshia sent Ben home on their final date, because her heart was with Zac C.

It’s Neil Lane again! Proposal Day, Zac C. met with Neil Lane and made an excellent ring choice.

Neil Lane: “Its an Emerald Cut.”

Zac C.: “I think I like this one.” Good choice, Zachary.

The Most Adorable Proposal at La Quinta Inn and Resort:

Chris Harrison: “Its been one hell of a ride.”

Zac C.: “And it’s not over yet.”

Zac. C.

“From our first conversation we ever had by the fountain, we talked about everything happens for a reason. And when I came here to the desert I didn’t know what that reason was, but I do today. I came here because I was supposed to meet you.

And I came here because I was supposed to fall in love with you. From our first kiss to riding the ferris wheel to meeting each other’s families nothing has ever felt so right in my entire life. You’ve helped me experience a love I never knew existed and you’ve helped me smile more than no one has ever made me smile. I love you Tayshia. I love you because you’re a fighter. I love you because you’re a strong, independent woman and you make everyone around you better. I love you because you believe in me. I love you because you’re a total dork, and I love you because you drive me absolutely wild. I love everything about you and I listened when you spoke of the importance of loyalty, and I promise to be loyal to you.”

Tayshia

“That first night when I got here I was extremely excited for the possibility of finding love but also very nervous and scared because I didn’t know finding true love was possible. When I first met you I thought to myself, “He’s different.” And that man is kind, he shows gratitude and has the biggest smile. He has been through a lot but has never given up, but also has learned how to read me better than anyone really has and knows how to comfort me when I’m down. There was one point in my life where I thought I would never get married because of all the pain and the heartbreak that I’ve been through, and I hit absolute rock bottom. And I know I told you that I love you. But…sorry…(pause)…it’s more than that. It’s this wild, wild love that I have tried to come up with so many reasons to not believe, and you have truly made me believe that there doesn’t need to be flaws, and that I deserve a love with a man that won’t run away and I’ve truly opened up my heart, and yes, it is real and I feel it too. And I want to make many more traditions and jump into fountains all over the world with you. I’m ready to hail a taxi.

Zac C. Smiling: Prove it.

Tayshia: And I’m ready to start a life with you. But, also, I love you, Zac Clark.

Zac C. mouths I love you and Zac C. kisses her.

Tayshia: And and I would do absolutely anything to keep that huge smile on your face, because you do everything to keep a huge smile on mine.

Zac C.: The night of my hometown, (holding back tears) you walked in and my parents got to see that smile on my face. You gave them the best gift you could ever give them. They haven’t seen me that happy in years. And you did that. That’s what I knew. That’s what they knew. And the other night we were talking and you spoke about this idea of someone choosing you, and I can’t picture another day another moment without you in my life. And if you’ll let me, I’m gonna choose you right now. I’m gonna choose you tomorrow morning. I’m gonna choose you next week and next year. I’m gonna choose you forever, because I love you. (gets down on one knee and whispers while holding back tears) Marry me?

Tayshia: Yes! I love you! You’re mine!

Yay!! Yay love!! Yay Tayshia and Zac C. and New York! Taxi! That is the one and only proposal I’ve transcribed because it is the cutest proposal of all time. Congrats to the happy couple.
