The Bachelor with Matt James begins Monday, January 4 at 8|7c on ABC!

All that you need to know about Matt James. He is a tall, non-profit-founding, handsome, athletic man. He was originally cast for Clare’s season of The Bachelorette pre-pandemic. And then he was re-cast as The Bachelor. Matt James is friends with Tyler Cameron. Both live in NYC and do work for ABC Food Tours. During the quarantine, you’ll remember the Quarantine Crew with Matt, Tyler, Hannah B., and friends, became popular on TikTok because we all wanted to know what was happening with Hannah B. and Tyler C. Are they dating? Are they not? And it was just great content. Exhibit A below. Who says you can’t be creative in quarantine times? Anywhoo, back to Matt James. Clare’s season got re-cast while producers paused filming during the pandemic and figured out how to quarantine, rent out full hotels and film safely during 2020. Enter Matt James as Season 25 The Bachelor in quarantine times. He is also the first black Bachelor in the franchise. About damn time.

Matt James co-founded and works with the non-profit, ABC Food Tours, with Tyler Cameron where they work with youth from low-income areas to educate them on their food and healthy, active lifestyles. Fun Fact: Matt James and Hannah B. would do devotionals together in quarantine. And he joined Hannah B.’s live devotional series with Australian pastor Elyse at LA Oasis. He grew up with a single mama and he’s an adorable man.

About ABC Food Tours: ABC Food Tours, founded by Matt James and Tyler Cameron in 2018, takes children from low-income areas of NY and LA to restaurants and local food joints in their neighborhood to provide kids with an experience of their local restaurants, have a meal and educate them on healthy, active lifestyles.
