Congratulations to Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke on their Engagement!

Ben Higgins is engaged to girlfriend Jessica Clarke! Sliding in to DM’s can lead to love and a marriage proposal! Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke have been quarantining during the corona times at Ben Higgins’ family home with Ben’s parents. With all this family time and it going well, they are surely headed to wedding bliss. So happy for the couple!

From my first date in life to the moments in between they all led me to getting down on one knee in front of you @jessclarke_ . This weekend I asked Jessica to give me the honor of being her partner for life. She said YES! I now officially have the most beautiful, kind hearted, supportive, well intentioned person to spend life with! Our adventurous ride through life together is just starting @jessclarke_ ! Let’s celebrate…but for now let’s stay home and isolate. Ben Higgins and Jess Clarke appeared on Chris Harrison and Lauren Zima’s ‘Group Date’ chats on Chris Harrison’s Instagram Live (now happening every Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:30pm PST/9:30pm EST), days before the engagement and gave no indication of an upcoming proposal. They chatted lightheartedly about how nice it has been snuggled in together during social distancing, and that they were enjoying time together when they usually are spending time apart with Ben’s travel schedule for The Bachelor Live! with Becca Kufrin, which is now paused because of the coronavirus.

Ben is not about to let this one go. Jess Clarke used to be a D1 track athlete, and still holds down a 6 minute mile pace. Get after it girl! They both are philanthropic and two loving people.

They talked about Ben’s coffee charity, Generous Coffee, A locally-sourced coffee company out of Honduras that gives back to the community.

The proposal took place at Jessica Clarke’s family home in Nashville, Tennessee. Ben and Jess drove from Ben’s parents’ house where they had been quarantined to be with Jess’ family. While there at the house, Ben took Jess for a walk and proposed to her. Jess’ mom planned the flowers and Jess’ brother cooked the dinner. It was a sweet family affair. Ben said he spent 3 months collabing with Jess’ fam on creating the perfect ring for her. Jess and Ben had talked about getting engaged, but Ben got quiet about it for a few months in hopes of surprising his soon-to-be fiancé. Originally, Ben was thinking of proposing in New York in Central Park on tour with The Bachelor Live! filming, but with the quarantine, things changed and quietly he proposed in her family’s backyard next to a pond and sunflowers. Adorable.
